A Steam Train Tunnel Between Your Books

This railway book nook kit builds a Victorian station platform that slots between books on a shelf. Warm LED lighting picks out the clock, the platform lamps and the red steam locomotive, while a mirror at the back creates an infinite tunnel that appears to run far beyond the bookcase.

What You Build

The station walls, platform, roof trusses, clock face, signage and the locomotive assemble by hand from 258 laser cut wood and acrylic pieces. The LED strip and the mirror panel fit last, so the tunnel effect appears only once the model is closed up.

Before You Start

Two AAA batteries and glue are not supplied. The build takes about four hours and is rated intermediate, so it suits someone who has assembled a model before. Recommended for ages 14 and up.
