Excellent kit. Enjoyable to build and a lovely piece of art. One small problem is that you can’t fully tighten some bolts as it would create too much friction for the movement… and so some bolts may work loose and fall out with use. However this isa minor concern
We love everything about it. I am going to put it in my playroom and use it as a night light. The undulating wings seemed to be a real manta ray in front of me. I absolutely fell in love with it.

Caught my eye at first sight. Received my mechanical manta ray in about 10 days. It was my first time to try metal modeling, and I encountered some minor problems during the assembly process, but I was very satisfied with the prompt and responsive customer service, and finally completed my metal manta ray model without any problems. The metal gears are very textured and beautifully crafted beyond my expectations. After all, its almost $600 USD asking price, haha ......
Both the items were well packed. Upon unpacking the items were stunning and looking very exquisite. They were made with the finest metal and colors were better than the pictures. The movements were also surprisingly smooth.

Saw it on line. Loved it so decided to order. Yes it's not a low cost item and for good reason.The beautiful made box has an executive finish. Inside the box beautiful laid out puzzle in cut out foam with layer after layer of anticipation. The finish is excellent all the gears and parts are very well made and metal. Shockingly difficult to engrave because the paint is thick and quality. I can't wait to surprise my wife with it for our anniversary! Definitely a must splurge item for your ocean loving special someone.
Assembly was smooth and it was easy to follow the instructions. I appreciate the extra screws and screwdriver bit that came with the kit.

Whilst the model is quite beautiful, I was disappointed it only took a little over an hour to assemble. I purchased this kit as a hobbyist looking for my next challenge and it was anything but. Lovely model, but far too quick and simple to complete for my purposes.
