XIA Model Mech Built From 1300+ Metal Parts
The XIA-A is a DIY metal mech model assembled from over 1300 stainless steel and copper components. Every joint is screw and rod fixed, so no glue is involved and the finished mech model can be taken apart and rebuilt. Assembled it stands 26 cm tall, holds a pose on articulated joints, and the energy fluid pipes running through the boom glow green in dim light.
What Sets the XIA-A Mech Apart
- Glowing energy system: fluid pipes channel light through the thick boom for a green glow that reads best in a dim room
- Vector thrust nozzles: three sculpted nozzles form the propulsion block at the rear of the mech
- Biomimetic abdomen: layered armour plates modelled on a shrimp tail flex with the pose
- Golden nail plates: copper toned plating contrasts with the stainless steel frame
- Articulated joints: shoulders, arms, hips and legs pose independently for display
Building the Future Mech Model
This is an advanced 3D metal puzzle. The 1300 piece build runs around 20 hours of screw and rod work, which puts it well past a beginner mechanical model kit and closer to a multi weekend project. Tolerances are tight, so the supplied tools and a steady hand matter more than speed. It suits builders who have already finished smaller metal mech and robot models and want a longer sci fi build.
