Building the Giant Squid

Parts press out of etched stainless steel sheets and connect through tabs and slots. The kit ships with the assembly tools and a step by step guide, and a typical build runs about 1.5 hours, which puts it in reach of anyone who has finished a metal model kit before.

Stainless steel holds its shape once the tentacles are bent into position, so the pose you set during assembly is the pose the sculpture keeps. Ages 16 and up is the guide, mainly because of the small etched parts and the tool work involved.
