Mechanical Tiger Metal Model Kit

This 3D metal puzzle builds a big cat with a detachable wing module, and the kit is sold in four style combinations. Choose a Bengal Tiger or a Smilodon body, then pair it with Wing A, a feathered blade wing, or Wing B, an open skeletal wing built from struts and tubes.

mechanical tiger 3d metal puzzle assembled winged big cat sculpture with chromatic plated armour panels

The tiger stands 18 x 8 x 12 cm assembled and carries over 700 laser cut parts across its armour panels, gear work and jointed limbs. The wing module attaches separately, so the same cat can be displayed winged or wingless.

Four Builds From One Tiger Puzzle

  • Bengal Tiger body in a warm brass and steel finish with a broad striped head
  • Smilodon body in a cool chrome and iridescent finish with sabre tooth fangs
  • Wing A: layered feather blades that fan out in a display pose
  • Wing B: skeletal mechanical wing with exposed tubing and claw tipped struts
  • Wings detach, so the tiger model can also sit as a wingless big cat sculpture

Materials and Build

Body parts are cut from stainless steel, iron and copper, while the wing module uses copper and aluminium to keep the outstretched span light. Chromatic plating gives each section its own tone rather than a single flat metal colour.

Assembly runs roughly six to eight hours across the body, legs, tail and wing subassemblies, which places this kit well above a beginner metal puzzle in both part count and patience required.

Specifications

  • Piece count: 700+ precision cut metal parts
  • Tiger model size: 18 x 8 x 12 cm assembled
  • Wing module size: 10 x 5 x 1 cm per wing
  • Body materials: stainless steel, iron and copper
  • Wing materials: copper and aluminium
  • Styles: Bengal Tiger or Smilodon, each with Wing A or Wing B
  • Assembly time: approximately 6 to 8 hours
  • Difficulty: advanced, suited to builders with metal kit experience

Displaying a Winged Tiger Sculpture

At this size the finished model works as a centrepiece on a desk, a games room shelf or an office credenza, and the outstretched wings give it a much larger visual footprint than the body dimensions suggest. It suits steampunk and mechanical animal collectors, big cat fans, and gift buyers looking for an advanced metal model kit for a birthday or Christmas.

The product and was safely Everything looks great so far. I haven’t started building yet, but it looks very promising and i’m excited to get started.

L
Lucia I.

I really enjoyed building this tiger model. Note that most photos show the colored version, so be sure to order that; the standard metal edition doesn’t have the same visual impact.

S
Samantha P.

The design is cool but the build was more frustrating than enjoyable at times.

R
Randy N.

Decent model. A few pieces didn't align as precisely as I'd like.

S
Susan M.

Looks good when done but some metal tabs broke when bending. Need to be careful.

N
Nora L.

Beautiful tiger. A few steps in the instructions could be numbered more clearly.

C
Carol K.

Really cool model. Took off a star because one wing joint is slightly stiff.

O
Olivia J.

Impressive result. The metal edges on a few pieces were slightly sharp.

S
Stephen H.

Love the finished tiger. Some connection points required more force than expected.

R
Rachel G.

Great build. Two small metal tabs bent slightly during assembly but I straightened them.

A
Alexis F.

Amazing design. Would be 5 stars if the instructions had zoom-in detail shots.

C
Claire E.

Stunning model. A few of the smallest tabs were tricky to bend without pliers.

B
Brooklyn D.

I've spent thousands on hobby kits. This punches way above its price.

J
Janet B.

Gave this to my nephew for his birthday. His jaw literally dropped.

P
Patrick C.

The open jaw with individual teeth pieces is my favorite detail.

C
Chloe A.

The wing membrane between the structural supports is elegantly designed.

K
Katherine Z.

great

G
Gary Y.

I photograph my metal builds and this one looks the best on camera.

L
Lily X.

The spine segments allow slight bending. Adds so much realism to the pose.

K
Kennedy W.

Built it with needle-nose pliers and patience. The result speaks for itself.

G
Grace V.

My favorite build this year. The tiger commands attention on any shelf.

B
Beverly U.

The paws have articulated toes. Whoever designed this thought of everything.

M
Melissa S.

I'm not usually into puzzles but this was genuinely engaging from start to finish.

D
Deborah T.

worth every penny

B
Brandon R.

The ribcage area shows exposed gears through the body. Such a cool design choice.

Q
Quinn P.

My living room shelf went from boring to epic with just this model.

L
Laura N.

The chrome-like finish on the metal pieces catches light beautifully.

B
Brian M.

I built the tiger and the cobra from the same brand. Both outstanding.

A
Anna K.

The ears and whiskers are tiny individual pieces. Incredible precision.

S
Sadie L.

highly recommend

A
Amy J.

My engineering professor has one on his desk. That's what made me buy it.

J
Joseph H.

The mechanical aesthetic makes it look like it could actually come to life.

C
Christine G.

This is the crown jewel of my model collection.
