Marble Run City With 2.5 Meters of Track
Marble Night City is a large wooden marble run built as a miniature cityscape. 294 laser cut wooden parts combine with clear acrylic panels to form the towers, and the marbles travel roughly 2.5 metres of track through the finished city on a single run.
Marble Track Layout
- Tower distributor: feeds marbles into different branches so the route through the city changes run to run
- Crane lifter and wheel elevator: two separate return mechanisms that carry marbles back up to the high starting points
- Spiral descents: helical ramps that drop marbles between city levels while keeping speed under control
- Funnel chutes and turns: engineered curves that swap gravity for lateral momentum and back again
