A Gear Driven Anglerfish That Lights Up

This 3D metal puzzle builds a steampunk anglerfish from 1064 stainless steel and alloy parts. The lure on its stalk lights up, the eye glows red, and the jaw, fins and tail stay articulated once assembled, so the finished model can be posed on its gold display base.

What You Build

Every gear, plate, spike and tooth screws together by hand. The build includes 24 individually fitted teeth, seven segments along the luminous lure arm, and a geared jaw linkage, which is what pushes the assembly time into the eight to twelve hour range.
