Alien Hub Book Nook with Blue LED Lighting
This DIY book nook kit builds a sci fi space station corridor that slots between books on a shelf. The scene runs on a technological blue palette, with a data server bay on one side, a lit Earth porthole on the other, and a tunnel that reads as a time machine gate at the back.

What the Sci-Fi Book Nook Kit Includes
- Touch switch lighting: a capacitive touch sensor turns the LED strips on and off, so the corridor lights without an inline rocker switch
- Earth view porthole: a ring lit circular window frames a printed Earth panel, which gives the diorama its space station reference point
- Data server bay: printed server racks, hazard markings and gate numbering fill the side wall with sci fi signage detail
- Tunnel portal depth: the rear passage is layered rather than flat, so the shelf insert keeps its perspective when viewed straight on
- Natural wood build: the frame and panels are cut from natural wood, assembled with craft glue rather than snap fit clips

Specifications
- Assembled size: 18.2 x 11 x 22 cm
- Material: natural wood panels and printed sheets

Bookshelf Decor and a Sci-Fi Building Project
The build is a glue and layer project rather than a quick snap together model, so expect several sessions across a weekend. Working through the panels in order keeps the wiring accessible until the last stage, which is the part most builders find fiddly.
Finished, the book nook sits between hardbacks as bookshelf decor in a study, a home office or a gaming room, and the blue LED glow makes it read at night as well as in daylight. It is a common birthday and Christmas gift for science fiction readers, space station model fans and adults who already collect book nook kits.
