Kid Finger-Safe Cardboard Cutter for Ages 3+

Love this for my class! We do a lot of steam and Invention Convention activities in my class. I have very poor wrist for cutting cardboard for 21 kids. I bought two of these machines and I absolutely love them. It takes a little bit of time for a five in six-year-old’s to realize the direction they should be pushing the cardboard through, but I highly recommend this product. They’re the size of an 8 x 12 sheet. I have tons of them now. I also use my local Costco to collect cardboard from that can be used with this machine.

We design, prototype and build various 2D & 3D items. He is learning so much from how to build a stand for 2D cardboard cut outs and making 3D objects out of flat cardboard. He was so excited about the safety cones we built for around his workshop area. At this age he is very good at cutting straight lines so sometimes he cuts the cardboard to fit in the recycling container. So Fun and Educational!

They picked up on it very quickly and are creating amazing things.

Really Cool Machine Super easy and safe to use. It even entertains my 2year old for long periods of time!

This was a Christmas present for our 5 year old granddaughter. She took right to it, and she LOVES making things — even just cutting random shapes is fun. Here she is with her pink bunny rabbit hearing protection. One thing it needs is a non-slip bottom

My 7 year old granddaughter thinks this is the best Christmas gift she got this year. It’s makes me and her grandma very happy that it is so safe.

My preschool children immediately began using this when I set it out . They have made all kinds of creations already. Children ages 2-5 have been using it.

This is a fabulous tool - not only for cutting but it is also great for hand eye coordination! The kids love it.... and the littles just cut, cut, cut but I don't mind because they are learning as they go. I would highly recommend this for any crafting space! Good job guys!

System Useage My son and I have really enjoyed the concept, however, the system doesn’t cut the cardboard very well/straight.

It is great tool with limitations. My grandson is a very creative, detail oriented and bright 12 yr old. He loves to build his own models of aircraft’s and ships out of cardboard and other assorted materials. He was thrilled to get the ChomSaw. He was a bit disappointed it the limitation of the thickness of the cardboard it could handle. I had been saving cardboard for quite awhile and part of his gift was a huge stack of assorted cardboard. He also said it was a bit cumbersome doing some cuts. This is a picture of his project in progress. For the price , I thought it would be able to handle more. I justified the price because he has two siblings who will probably use it too.

Could have taller blade. Machine is pretty cool. Would be better if you could cut more than thin cardboard without crushing it beforehand.

A decent addition to our school's shops Using this saw takes a lot more force from users than we expected and we've come to find it's best used when we have a block of wood clamped on the side that sits in direct opposition to the cutting direction. It is great for quick prototyping versus us sending kids to the lasercutters.

Huge Hit! My Grandson received this for Christmas and absolutely loves it. He is 3.5, and is learning how to turn to make different angles and shapes but he does very well. I would suggest wearing short sleeves, as his cuff on his hoodie has a little notch out of it because he was turning the piece of cardboard and it swept under the blade area just right.

Good prototype, excited for next version I’ve been waiting and waiting for this tool to come on the market. I make giant puppet/costumes for our local May Day event and thought that this might make my work go faster and spare my knuckles.

This is a game changer for kids I love the concept. It opens up a whole new world for younger kids to be able to create and express their ideas and inventions. I love that it is super safe. I was a bit disappointed that you must be careful to stick to thin cardboard. My kids experienced frustration at first because we had a thick material. Also the circle cutter was a bit difficult to figure out and use for the littles. Love the included patterns and cool things they can make. They are so proud of themselves when they complete a project!
